Discover Your Personal Mission

God created each of us as a unique individual. He did that for a reason! For example, the various parts of the body all look and function in a specific way. Their differences and strategic placement make them effective in serving their specific purpose. When each part fulfills its role, the body operates with cohesion. As believers God called, chose, and fit us together in the same way. Each of us has unique gifts, passions, experiences and a customized part to play. No wonder we’re called the body of Christ!

Our mission as believers is to draw others to Christ by reflecting His image and using our gifts to serve in love. This becomes our personal mission when we activate our individual talents and skills to make a difference for others.

There are many ways to invest the talents God has given us back into His Kingdom and lead others to Him in doing so. Get involved in church ministry. Start or join a community initiative to help people in need. Use professional skills to help the church or another organization serve its mission.

Where do your gifts, passions, and others’ perception of your strengths intersect? That's where you'll find your personal mission. Spend some time in prayer pinpointing yours. Doing so will help you answer the “What am I supposed to be doing?” question.
