Today we encourage you to connect with a small group or a friend to discuss what God has been speaking to you this week.

Discussion Questions: 

1. How has God been speaking to you through this week's Bible readings? What are some things that stuck out to you? What are some things you have learned?

2. Why do you think God described Abel's offering as a better offering than Cain's?

3. John speaks about not being like Cain. What are some of the characteristics of Cain that we need to avoid?

1 John 3:11-12 

4. Why do you think Cain responded in anger towards Abel when God rejected his offering? Have you ever had a situation where someone was angry with you even though you did nothing towards them?

Genesis 4:3-5 

5. What do we learn about God's character from His response to Cain's sin?

6.  We see in Genesis 4:7 the Lord pointed out that Cain had a weak spot in his life that would eventually lead to his ruin. What are the areas of insecurity that the Lord has pointed out through this week's study? What steps can you take to begin to address these insecurities?
