Celebrate Small Victories
We are living in a time and age where we give a lot of prominence to doing BIG things, and celebrating big moments. Social media, the Internet, and people around us have influenced us to think somehow that small things don’t matter. We all have the desire to be great and this is not innately a bad thing! We are designed and wired to pursue greatness. Because our GOD IS GREAT. But this should not discount us from doing little things. God often prepares you for big things through the little things entrusted to you right now. David's statement to King Saul is a reflection of how much God had prepared Him in the wilderness for his big moment of victory over Goliath. He speaks of the lion and bear he defeated in the desert while shepherding the flock. This never reached the news or media and in fact no one knew about it until he spoke of it. He drew confidence from the little victories God had given him in the past to confront his giant. The same God who healed you from your migraine can heal you from cancer. The same God who gave you victory over the bondage of lying can give you victory from porn addiction. The same God who gave you freedom from anxiety, can give you freedom from a generational curse you are encountering now. There is nothing greater than Jesus. Every challenge is an opportunity to reveal who God is to you and how Great He is. Celebrate the small victories God has given you in your past to gather courage & faith to face your present and future battles. Every testimony you have in your history with God is a weapon to build faith on the inside of you.
