Grasp the Moment by Rocky Fleming
DAY THREE
Scripture:
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15-17
Thought:
Several thoughts are conveyed in the passage above that need to be considered. For instance “look carefully,” meaning that this is important. “Walk wisely;” which means do your research. Make the “best use of the time,” meaning that we must remember the cost thing? “Understand what the will of the Lord is,” meaning to seek diligently for His guidance. This last directive seems the hardest to do, for understanding what the will of the Lord is seems almost impossible. But it is easier if you see it and respond to His guidance when He reveals it.
I remember John Wayne’s famous words in one of his movies when he told an unwise kid: “Life is hard, but it is much harder when you are stupid.” In a similar way, life is hard. But it is much harder when we do not know and follow God’s direction for our life. It starts with seeking His will.
Application:
So, how are you doing with seeking God’s wisdom? Do you include Him only on spiritual matters and never seek His wisdom for work, for relationships, for living all the other aspects of your life? Take time to answer this question honestly with yourself.
The next critical aspect of your interaction is to accept the truth. Take time now and ask God to help you see the truth about what you are not getting from Him in the way of wisdom. Ask Him to make you hungry for His wisdom, rather than the wisdom the world gives. Take a moment now to seek your answer from Him through prayer.
Q: What do you think the Holy Spirit said for you to do differently to seek and find the gift of God’s wisdom?
Q: What adjustments do you need to make to seek it?
Response:
Make a commitment now to follow through with any changes you need to make. Don’t let this be left open for you are about to enter a new place that will lead to great treasures.

About this Plan
We all know our mission is to bring glory to God. But do we also understand that it is our mission as followers of Christ to “enjoy Him … forever?” When was the last time you simply enjoyed God? Let's interact with our King over the next few days and let Him teach us how to grasp the moment with Him.
