The Other Five Prayer Journey

DAY 17 OF 22

DAY SEVENTEEN

Matthew 14:29 "He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus."

"Every other singer has an agent.  You won't go anywhere without one."  A contract to be signed and the doors to churches and events would be open in various countries--because of the agent.  Would he sign?  Young, passionate, fresh in his preaching, a singer who carries us all with him in worship.  Would our student and friend sign away his freedom?

Fast forward a couple of years.  "We know how to package a book so it will really sell.  Just sign here and we will do the marketing and advertising."  They would make his book "sales-worthy." As he looked over the changes they had made in the manuscript, he was aghast.  Would he sign this contract and sell his freedom to be himself, to be unencumbered?

Thankfully the answers were "no."  In each case, Franco Figueroa opted for the high road, the one of risk-taking faith, and did not sign.  God has opened the doors of ministry in many nations.  Never has Franco had to push his way in or pay someone else to make an opportunity available.  He is only 25 years old but he is touching thousands of lives.  The Holy Spirit and the anointing have broken the yoke.

At great personal expense, his family paid for the printing of that first book: the original, naive, innocent, simple one that was not "sales-worthy."  Thousands of copies of that book have sold and he is now about to publish his fourth book on evangelism.  The second one, "Eres Un Diamante" ("You are a Diamond"), expresses how God shapes our life and calling.  It is fresh and free with a style that is from the heart.

It was in the prayer room at River Plate Bible Institute in Buenos Aires that God gave him a chorus that has touched so many hearts.  "Mi Plenitud" ("My Fullness") talks about God being all we need.  It was in Bible School that God showed him a plan of how to reach the lost by finding the places where most people gather and just start worshiping.  The first one was at a subway entrance in Santiago, Chile.  Hundreds of surprised pedestrians found themselves carried away by the songs and by Franco's unabashed freshness.  At subsequent events in Chile and in various nations, thousands are being touched.  “Chile Adora” ("Chile Worships") was truly an idea from God.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, if great things are to be accomplished among THE OTHER FIVE, it will take great steps of faith to accomplish them.  Let us be like Franco and like Peter, stepping out into something great in order for You to accomplish something great in us and through us.  We intensely desire to be used by You today!

About this Plan

The Other Five Prayer Journey

The Other Five are the 5 out of 6 people in Latin America Caribbean that are not yet disciples of Jesus. The soul care decisions regarding them should be guided by the Lord of the Harvest, the One that truly cares most for every soul. The One that cares most should be foremost in determining where the focus should be directed as we PRAY, GO, AND GIVE.
