Have you ever met someone you could really count on? Someone reliable, trustworthy, and loyal? Someone wise, loving, and worth listening to? People like this can feel like such a source of comfort and consistency — especially when life feels dark, confusing, or chaotic. Whether we're making a big life decision, navigating friend drama, or trying to figure out how to change a bad habit we've acquired, we often need someone (or something) to shine a light on our path so we can feel confident walking forward.
Jesus often talked about himself as a "light" for us — the person we can look to when we feel like we're in darkness. But he also talks about his followers as "light" to the world too. If you know Jesus, sometimes you'll need help finding your way. But what's exciting is that you can also help someone else find their way. All you need is to keep following the bright light of Jesus and then reflect his light to others. When we let that light shine before others, God can illuminate even the darkest moments.
How can you let your light shine for others? Is there anyone in particular who might need that light right now?

About this Plan
Friendship might feel easy when life is easy, but it gets more complicated when your friends are hurting or struggling. What should you do? What should you say? What should you not say? When our friends need help, there are no easy answers, but in this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll see what Scripture invites us to do when others are grieving, lonely, in need, or feeling hopeless.
