The Eternal King
Jeremiah 10:10a
But the Lord is the only true God. He is the only living God, King forever.
People are still worshipping other things besides the true and living God today. Ever since thousands of years ago, false gods and idols have already existed. They are made out of wood, stone, or metal. Sometimes, they are even covered with handmade clothes, silver or gold. No matter how beautiful they look, they can’t breathe, move, create or help anyone. They are still the product of men’s workmanship and perishable.
God has power because He is powerful. He is mighty in power. He is so powerful that the earth shakes when He is angry. Though He is so very powerful, He is a compassionate God. God helps us when we ask for His help. God always answers our prayers in His own ways and timing. He doesn’t use His power to crush us, but to correct us. He does that because He loves His people and does not manipulate His power.
God is the One who holds the kings and the rulers of the earth. Everything on earth, including the false god and idols, is in the palm of His mighty hand. He is the eternal King in the everlasting kingdom.
Prayer
Dear God, Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Thank You for preparing a home for me in Your eternal and everlasting kingdom. Amen.
