The Power of the Spoken Blessingنموونە
Early in the Book of Genesis, we read that God blessed Adam and Eve, instructing them to be fruitful, multiply, and have dominion. Then, in the New Testament, we also read that just before Jesus ascended into heaven, He blessed His disciples. (Luke 24:50-52)
The Blessing can be seen as an impartation of power, wisdom, and skill, which the person in authority bestows upon the individuals receiving the blessing.
I recall how I longed for my Dad's approval for the longest time. I did not even know that it was his blessing; I was desiring. My actions told the story since I was a ball of rebellion, had low self-esteem, and always felt like a complete failure.
It was only in my early adulthood that I discovered the principle of blessing impartation – and it all started to make sense. My parents got divorced when I was a young teenager, and I thought I was partially to blame for the breakup. My dad was not verbal when expressing love and recognition since he was not used to it growing up. The more I drew towards my father, the more it seemed like he pushed me away. A sense of shame overwhelmed me.
From then onwards, I stumbled through life and had the viewpoint that you need to be independent and never rely on anyone to succeed in life. This mindset is incorrect. It is contrary to God's best for our lives since we need to depend upon the Lord.
Have you perhaps yearned for the approval of others to have a sense of belonging? This pursuit of recognition can leave one feeling disappointed and not worthy of love. Before we carry on, let us give this feeling of inadequacy to the Lord in prayer. He will meet your need and give you the desires of your heart.
Draw Closer in Prayer
Lord, I honor you! You are magnificent. Thank you for caring about the smallest detail of my life. As I read these words, I recognize that I feel lonely, at times, even worthless, and longing for love and blessing. I ask that you will shine your light in the darkest places of my soul and reveal to me any lies I have believed. I am expectant to discover the blessings for my life as I delve into your Word. Amen.

About this Plan
The spoken blessing refers to the fact that our words carry power. When someone speaks positive words (of blessing) over you – at your birthday party, for example – it is far more than mere well-wishes. The spoken blessing carries such immense power; it triggers a supernatural release of identity, purpose, and direction for abundant life
