What Is Beautiful?

DAY 4 OF 5

PERSONALLY / As A Mom

“Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty,” the Apostle Paul tells us. “Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness." Ephesians 5:25-28 (MSG)

Most days we forget how beautiful we are and internalize the opposite. Most days we forget who we truly are— to God, among others. We forget that we are sculpted by the Hands who created beauty, and that a size smaller, or taller, or faster, won’t shift who we are in the eyes of Christ.

Have any in your life truly seen your beauty?  How was that communicated to you, and what was that experience like?

What parts of your body do you like; what parts do you tend to dislike? Do any associations (statement from grade-school, an injury, etc.) come to mind?

Spend a few minutes blessing the miracle of you body and beauty, even the parts of it still in process.

DO THIS:

Unhurried, read through the below words three times…

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

Underline what stands-out to you from these words & circle what feels most challenging.

About this Plan

What Is Beautiful?

It's a question we all ask at some point in our lives. It's also a question many of us struggle to answer in a way that satisfies or affirms us. But what if we could change that for our daughters? What if we could give them a picture of beauty they can embrace, a picture they can see every day looking back at them in the mirror?
