WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
Money is a peculiar thing that life seems to be centered around. We need money to buy things, both necessities and desirables. We work to earn money and need money to travel and purchase food and other necessities. But remember well, money is not an absolute measure of happiness in life.
The question is, are we money-oriented? When our focus is on money, it will certainly cause many problems in our lives. 1 Timothy 6:10 says that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be".
Today let's search our heart again. What do we cherish and love most? Is it our wealth and money or the Lord Jesus, Himself who is the treasure of our life?
We may lose our wealth in this world, but when we still have Jesus, then we have everything. God can restore our lives, our wealth, our health, and our families, because He is the giver and source of all blessings.
Jesus offers us eternal life, a far greater blessing than anything else in this world.
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be.
