LISTENING AND ACTING
But exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3:13).
Our life of faith is not determined so much on how it begins, but by how we endure to the end. It seems that there are many people who start their faith well, but in the middle of the road, they get distracted and stop believing.
Therefore, we need to learn to hear counsel from the wise, because through listening, we will become wiser (Proverbs 19:20) and not act carelessly in our living.
Where do we get good advice? The best advice, of course, is through reading the Word of God, reflecting on it and also through wise people around us. When we follow the Word of God and His ways, we can be sure that we will win a victory in our faith, and become a blessing to those around us.
Let humble ourselves, listen and obey, then we will grow in wisdom.
Listening is better than speaking.
