Bold Faith - Part 4 - SE Studentsنموونە
Bold faith lasts beyond now. We’ve said this many times now, but it’s true. Bold faith moves beyond belief, requires action, and it might look weird to others. But when you have a faith like that, it will last beyond right now. That kind of faith will change your life and the lives of so many others.
If you have some extra time, a great chapter to read in the Bible is Hebrews 11. Many people call this the “by faith” chapter as it gives us a synopsis of many Old Testament heroes whose faith in God carried them through endless difficult circumstances. The beginning of this chapter starts by defining faith as being “sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” It isn’t just wishful thinking or being optimistic about the future; it is absolute certainty that the God we put our trust in will do what He promised to do.
One verse to remember is verse 13: “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.” This is one of the hardest parts of faith. We might not ever get to see the results of our faith or the things God promises while we’re living, but that’s evidence of a faith that lasts beyond our lives. It does not change the character of God, because He still keeps his promises and is faithful. It also reveals our character as we persevere in a faith that isn’t only about receiving. It is a confident trust in the character and goodness of God.
