Swords Up: How to Use the Weapon of God’s Word

DAY 7 OF 7

These last 7 days, we learned key principles that give us a firmer grasp on the Word of God. My hope is that you’ll value them in your life to not only take your stand against the enemy but to ultimately deepen your relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Yes, we have been gifted the Word as an offensive weapon against the enemy. Yet, I also see this as an opportunity to draw closer and more intimate with the Father. Jesus modeled this beautifully when he faced off with Satan in the wilderness. The Word was stored up in His heart, and He was able to withstand the devil. But, Jesus didn’t just know the scriptures, He was intimately connected to the Father.

A strong grasp on the Word equips us for battle, but an intimate relationship with God empowers us for life. We need both. I hope you consider this truth as you apply these principles into your daily life. Actively pursue your relationship with God so that you're equipped and empowered by His truth in the battles and the everyday living.
