From Passover to Pentecost

DAY 4 OF 5

No More Business as Usual

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. —2 Corinthians 12:9

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Holy Spirit apprehended me with the words “no more business as usual.” I knew that with those words the Lord was summoning His people to release some of our old, good ways of operating in order to move upward to new, better ways of functioning. His words issued a mandate for us to not look back but look forward and follow Him wherever He leads.

The Lord’s words sobered me. We are in new times, and with new times come new trials and difficulties to overcome. As I continued to seek Father for revelation of His words, I sensed that as we near Jesus’ return the obstacles and challenges we face are becoming so overwhelming that the only way to overcome them is by seeking and following Him at all costs. Take no comfort in the strength of the flesh, for God’s way of victory will come only when you lay yourself bare before Him. Hold nothing back from Him. All that is important must be surrendered to Him in faith.

At times, we will feel this is impossible to do. But in utter humility, we must relinquish everything and trust the One who reigns above all. When nothing seems to make sense and everything seems to be a mess, put your heart into the hands of the Father and His sacrificed Son. This is circumcision of the heart.

Beloved, it is a new season with new problems, trials, and tribulations. The old default ways of getting by will no longer support you. But be of good cheer. Jesus’ love and supernatural ways not only will get you through your trials but will cause you to soar like the eagles above every challenge you face. Let go of what has kept you stuck in the past, and persevere in Jesus. Remember, He secured your victory through His death and resurrection, so your job now is to cling to Him!
