Vibrant: A Life of Abundanceنموونە
One of the very first Scriptures that I memorized as a young child was Psalm 1. This life-giving psalm has guided me through many challenging days in life and continues to be a source of both comfort and instruction.
God has decreed that we, as His children, are to live an unseasonal lifestyle that is abnormal to the world’s expectations. It is His divine will and holy pleasure to offer sustenance and vibrancy to us even during the difficult days of life. As God’s children, we are to be Exhibit A of how people are able to live when they attach themselves to the perpetual life flow of the Word of God. The Word of God is able to fertilize our lives in such a manner that we are the beneficiaries of an unseasonable abundance!
Often in life we are tempted to put our trust in things of this world, such as the political system, increased finances, or the acceptance of others. However, all of those arenas in life are temporary and have no eternal blessing for us. We must place all of our faith in the Father who is able to offer an unseasonable abundance in His greenhouse of growth.
When you snuggle up to Him in an attitude of complete and submissive surrender, your roots will begin to go deeply into the plans and promises of God Almighty. Even when life is difficult and it seems like you are in the desert of circumstances, your life will remain vibrant and even fruitful. You will continue to yield joy when everyone else is discouraged, and you will be perpetually kind when others are cruel. You will be peaceful even when your life is being storm-tossed by ferocious situations, and you will be patient when it seems as if your prayers are being placed on hold.
How does this happen? What does it take to continue to yield fruit even when there is no reason for that to happen naturally? It happens when a man or a woman is bold enough to trust the Lord for daily sustenance, for sure protection, and for future stability. It happens when a person is more attached to the promises of God than they are to the pain of their past.
