Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Momsنموونە
C
is for CAUTIOUS
Be cautious about comparing!
As a mom of a newborn, it can be so easy to compare ourselves to others, especially in parenting. Because everything is new and unfamiliar, there can be a tendency to look at what everyone around us is doing to measure how we are doing. This is easy to do but harmful. Comparing ourselves to anyone else is a recipe for disaster, unhappiness, and ungodliness.
God has given you a precious gift in your child. Look to Him and His Word for guidance and affirmation. He is and always should be the focus of your attention and your affection. Keep your eyes on Him. He loves you and knows you and your circumstances. He has entrusted this new little one to YOU and chosen you to be their momma. He will be with you every step of the way, every moment of each day and night. He will never leave nor forsake you. You have been given His Spirit to accomplish what He is asking of you and He will be glorified as you fix your eyes upon Him and trust Him to do it.
So be cautious about comparing yourself to others. Remember God knew who He wanted to raise this child with. He is not expecting you to be perfect, He knows you aren't. He will walk this journey with you and equip you with all that you need to raise your son or daughter.
