Quick Question: How Do I Find Joy?نموونە
Did you know that joy isn’t something that just comes naturally to us? Sometimes, we meet people who just seem so joyful, and it’s easy to wonder why they have so much joy when we might not feel that way all the time. Joy isn’t something that people automatically feel all the time. Instead, it’s something that the Holy Spirit grows in us as we spend time talking to God and growing in our relationship with Him. There are certain things that the Holy Spirit will give us as we grow in our faith- the Bible calls them the “Fruits of the Spirit,” because like fruit grows on a healthy, well-taken-care-of tree, these “fruits” will grow in healthy, nurtured followers of Jesus as they continue to follow Him. Joy is one of the fruits that the Holy Spirit grows in us! As we spend time in prayer, reading the Bible, and listening to what God says about life and how we should live, we will slowly grow the fruit of joy in our life, along with others, and we can become people who have joy all the time.
Challenge: Today, evaluate your own fruit- where can you grow? Maybe that fruit is joy, like we talked about, or maybe it’s something else. Pray, and ask the Holy Spirit to continue to grow fruit in you as you continue in your relationship with Jesus.
