Book of 2 Corinthians

DAY 4 OF 4

SERVANT’S HEART

“But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 10:17)

The story of Apostle Paul’s life journey is so amazing. Paul was a very persistent person when he preached. He was also willing to be persecuted so that many souls couse hear the good news of Jesus. The faith journey of Paul has inspired many believers to share the gospel.

It looks so appropriate for Paul to receive praise and honor. But He said that he was not looking for praises from men. The most important thing for Paul was to receive grace, favor, and praise from God.

The true Christian will not be seeking after profit for himself, but rather giving up his life to become a blessing to others. This kind of attitude is in tune to the life of Christ who came to the earth not to be served, but to serve selflessly.

Paul was a sincere person when it came to serving others. Sincere serving means not looking for wealth, popularity, or profits when we serve God. John wrote, ”He must increase, but I must decrease.” That’s why when we have done our work or ministry well, we need to bear in mind that all the success belongs to God. It is not because of our might or greatness but because of God’s grace, and to let the name of God be glorified.

Man tends to measure his success with what he can achieve, but God measures our success with our obedience in doing His will.

A true Christian will not be out for his own benefit, but he will give his life for others.
