Book of 1 Corinthians

DAY 4 OF 4

ACHIEVING THE MAIN THING IN THIS LIFE

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

If we see someone running around in a hurry, there must be something important happening. Maybe he was being chased or he was chasing something. If we are chasing the flight schedule in the airport, we will certainly run fast or jog because it is important to us.

The most important thing that is written in the Bible is the pursuit of love. Why is love so important? Because love is God Himself. Pursuing love is the pursuit of God. If God is eternal, then that love is eternal. If we encounter God personally, then His love flows over us. Imagine if we say we are Christians but our lives have no love. Our character can be worse than a person who has no religion.

True love can be found only in Christ, the Holy Spirit. So, every morning before doing any activity, seek God first, and ask for His love to fill you. Despite having many talents, cleverness, or even gifts of the Spirit, if we have no love then all of them are useless. Love, talents, wisdom, the gifts of the Spirit must all go hand in hand.

Just like the Corinthian church, we must go forward to maturity, marked with love for God and love for others—to do everything with love.

Every morning before doing any activity, seek God first, and ask for His love to fill you.
