KEEPING A HOLY LIFE
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Jesus once told His disciples that they should not pollute themselves by the yeast of the world. What is the yeast of the world? It is the things of the world that are contrary to the truth. We are still living in the world, but where should our heart be inclined?
Our social lives will affect our spiritual lives—they are one and the same. Then how can we socialize with the people around us? God called us from darkness, or from our past lives, and transferred us into His light. The light will be useful if it shines in the darkness. Therefore, we still can live around the people who are in the dark, but we cannot do their “dark deeds”. Just as Jesus Christ was sent to the sinners, we also are sent to them in order to bring them to the light of Christ through our lives.
We have been redeemed from sin and now our lives wholly belong to Christ. We should not abuse the grace that has been given to us by God. We are sanctified, cleansed from sins, justified from our faults, and we have been separated, only for God.
Now God is united with our spirit through the Holy Spirit. This is why our body becomes the temple of God. If our house has been cleaned and tidied up, will we let our house become littered? Certainly not. The temple, our body is holy to glorify God.
Now God is united with our spirit through the Holy Spirit. This is why our body becomes the temple of God.
