ManifestHER Daily: Becoming Fully Committedنموونە
Friday nights are family night in my household. Everyone has an opinion about what they want for dinner! My daughter and I want pizza, and my husband and son want wings—there are opinions flying left and right as to what we should do and where we should go! Until we all get on the same page, we won’t be able to go anywhere.
We’re continuing our discussion from yesterday with the second common cause of interference, which is not aligning the words you speak with God’s words. Sometimes the changes you experience can tempt you to speak words that don’t create life. The first step to correcting this is to begin agreeing with God’s words. You’ve cultivated your soil, and God has planted the seed. The seed may not be fully developed yet, but the words you speak can encourage growth. Proverbs 18:21 says that what we say can preserve life or destroy it.
Speaking life is both a spiritual and practical muscle we need to develop daily. We need it because when we ask God for His help, and He begins to bring us into a solution, it may not look familiar to us because we haven’t been there before. When it doesn’t look familiar, the tendency is to be fearful and begin speaking negatively.
To season your words with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, begin holding God’s words about you in higher consideration than your own. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
Practice speaking life by exchanging the negative with the positive:
- "I’m not sure what’s going to happen." vs. "It’s all going to work together for my good."
- "I’ll never get over what they did to me." vs. "God forgave me, so I’m relying on Him to help me forgive them."
- "This is never going to change." vs. "I’m doing my best. God will do the rest. He’s adding his super to my natural."
Remember that when you give your goals to God, you’re asking Him to give you a different outcome. You're asking for a supernatural solution! Keep trusting that He has you securely in His hands! Remember, that as you keep your words aligned with God’s, you display obedience and honor Him, you create growth and you safeguard life!
