Where Fools Begin
The writer of Proverbs tells us that 'the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge', and the psalmist gives us the flip side, describing a fool as someone who denies the existence and power of God. He or she has missed the first step. Without God, things just don't make sense. They don't add up. Random events have no pattern or purpose. Live today with the confidence that God does exist and loves you dearly.
Prayer: Dear Lord in Heaven, it is with a humble heart I acknowledge you today. Everything I am and know begins with you. Help me to live this day with a special consciousness of you; I don't want to live as if you didn't exist or care. May your Holy Spirit give me the knowledge and wisdom I'll need for the day ahead. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
