Walk Through The Bible 365 - Marchنموونە
Much and Little
This little footnote in Jesus' ministry reveals, once again, the upside-down world of the Kingdom. He mentions to his disciples that two little copper coins given by a widow equal "more than all the others" in God's economy. Why? Because her gift revealed an amazing faith and confidence in God's provision. Unless God comes through, she has nothing else to live on. What kind of faith does our giving reflect?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me faith that extends to my wallet and handbag. I confess that like others in Hong Kong, money means too much to me. I want my security and confidence to be in you. Give me the perspective of the widow in these verses, and may my faith be reflected more clearly in how I give to you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
