DAY 3 OF 3

THE HARVEST TIME HAS COME

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! (John 4:35)

If you are a farmer and see that your crop is ready for harvest, will you just look at it with a smile? Of course not! You will surely rejoice and immediately pick up the tools to reap the great harvest. Jesus used this as an example to his followers.

The farmers had been waiting for the results for a long time, from the time they started planting, watering, fertilizing, and monitoring the plant’s growth. All this was done with exertion, and maybe with tears. What we have done in prayer and fasting for the harvest of souls will someday bear fruit. All our efforts in carrying out His commands will never be in vain. The righteousness we sow will surely reap the rewards.

What do we do to harvest if the harvest time is now?

We prepare “plowshares and knives“ to prune the harvest. We prepare our hearts and minds with the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask the Father to fill us with His Spirit, and by that anointing, we are ready to harvest those who have also been prepared.

As God's anointed servants, we can talk and testify to them about the great God in our lives. We can them about all God’s work in our heart, that our God is loving and faithful, and that He patiently waits for them to know Him. God cares about their situation and can help them. More than that, He wants them to live together with Him forever.

The harvest time has come. Let us experience it.
