Love God Greatly: Jesus Our Everythingنموونە
Jesus is the anchor of our salvation. Without Him, we are nothing. He is the one who keeps us connected with the Father and walking with Him. However, this does not mean we are free to live any way we please. We find practical instruction throughout Scripture, and especially in these verses in Hebrews.
We must pursue peace, not with only the people we like and choose as our friends, but with everyone. This doesn’t mean we back away from injustice, but that we fight injustice the way Jesus did (Mt 8:1-3; 9:9-13; 18:1-7; 20:20-28; Mk 12:13-17; Lk 10:25-42; 19:1-10; Jn 4:1-42; 20:11-18). Peace does not mean the absence of conflict, but rather, pursuing holiness by continually aligning our lives with God’s Word. When we encourage others to do the same, by speaking truth with love and not condemnation, we continue to promote and pursue peace and holiness.
Jesus is our Prince of Peace. Without a relationship with Him, we have no hope for peace in our lives or peace in the world. As we pursue peace, we must remember that true peace only exists as we pursue truth and holiness. As we continue to grow in our walks with God and grow in community with other believers, we will grow in peace.
Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. I want my life to be marked by Your peace. Help me see where I can pursue peace in my own life, in my family, my community, and my nation. Help me remember peace is not the absence of conflict, but rather, the presence of truth and a pursuit of holiness. Amen.

About this Plan
Jesus Our Everything is a 6-week Bible study on the Book of Hebrews. As we study and meditate on the supremacy of Christ, we seek to have our lives transformed by Him. He alone is worthy of our praise. He alone is worthy of our affection. He is our everything. All our hope is in Him.
