Welcome the Wilderness نموونە
Jesus Knows the Wild, Too
Loneliness is the first to greet us in the wilderness, isn’t it? It also seems to be what sticks around the longest. It’s because we feel lonely that we start to act out and give in to temptations in hopes of ridding ourselves of that deep, quiet pain.
But we know the One whose voice spoke the wilderness into existence, the One whose hands formed each desolate crack in the dry desert—and he walked through it himself.
Our Jesus is no stranger to the endless wandering or hallowing emptiness the wilderness always brings.
Not only was he there when it was made, but he stopped at no measure—even when he could have easily avoided the pain—to not first walk through it himself, so that he could walk through it every single time . . . with you.
