Meet The New Youنموونە
Tapping into Real Power
When was the last time you felt totally weak? Maybe you were weak-willed when you couldn’t resist a second helping of that decadent chocolate cake. Maybe you were weak-minded, when you gave into a pity party after hearing that you weren’t nominated as the recipient of a much-coveted award. Maybe you were weak in emotional reserves after a very long day, which is why you found yourself barking orders at the kiddos instead of speaking kindly.
Weakness is a part of our human condition. We’ll feel weak, act weak, and succumb to weakness, all the while beating ourselves up over our weakness. But what if that weakness was an invitation for God to step in and display His power?
What if that tempting chocolate cake was a moment in which we called out to God, asking for His strength to undergird our lack of will power? What if that pity party was a moment in which we ‘fessed up a desire for man-made praise and asked God to give us the strength to praise Him instead? What if our tapped-out emotional reserves beckoned us to pause for a moment to ask God for His mighty power to work in us and through us?
Weakness isn’t a bad thing when God’s power is made perfect in it.
Trap and Transform
1. In what way do you feel weak today?
2. How do you need God’s power to strengthen you?
3. Who can you ask to encourage you to embrace God’s power, in light of your weakness?

About this Plan
When we look to the Word of God as our baseline for how to live, we’ll discover where our thinking needs to change to conform to God’s best for us. That’s exactly what this 21-day journey is all about.
