Meet The New You

DAY 1 OF 21

Embracing His Unfolding Grace

Grace. Because it’s spoken of so often, it runs the risk of sounding trite and losing significance. Extend grace here. Give her grace. Show grace there. Be the embodiment of grace. But really, what do we know of grace in our day and age?

Grace is the freely given, unmerited favor of God.

Think about that for a minute.

Grace is freely given by God. But was it free? Did it not cost God to lose His son to the cross on our behalf? See, it’s free because we, who have received God’s grace did not have to pay for it. That’s why it’s described as God’s unmerited favor upon us. We might not deserve grace. We might not have earned it. But God chooses to pour out His grace upon us. If God can do that for us, why are we so resistance to receive it in every area of our lives and stingy about giving grace to others. As I’ve said to my daughter, who struggles, like me, with extending grace to those who’ve offended her: “Be kinder and gentler than she deserves.” Isn’t that how God is with us?

So friend, if I may call you that on this journey together, I invite you to imagine the kindest and most gentlest of God’s grace unfolding upon you. It’s not just near you, but it’s touching you. It’s not just slightly out of reach, but it’s seeping into every crevice of your life.

No matter who you are, where you are, or what you’re experiencing, God’s grace is unfolding.

There’s no situation His grace can’t get into. There’s no relationship His grace can’t touch. There’s no experience His grace can’t redeem.

His grace is for you, especially each new day, in this journey of authentic life transformation.

Trap and Transform

  1. Ask God to give you spiritual eyes to see His unfolding grace.
  2. Once you see that grace, pause to praise God it and receive it fully.
  3. How can you be a vessel of God’s unfolding grace in someone else’s life today?

About this Plan

Meet The New You

When we look to the Word of God as our baseline for how to live, we’ll discover where our thinking needs to change to conform to God’s best for us. That’s exactly what this 21-day journey is all about.
