Forgive, Grow And Find God's Path for Youنموونە
One Step at a Time
When God called Abram, he did not reveal his entire plan at once. His command in Genesis 12:1 was simple: “Go from your country . . . to the land I will show you.”
One thing is sure: God can’t lead us if we don’t take that first step of following him into the truth he is showing us. If he shows us an issue to deal with, we have to take the steps to deal with it. If he shows us a sin, we have to deal with it. And so on. He leads, we follow. That is keeping in step with the Holy Spirit (see Galatians 5:25). It is a relationship we follow step by step. We may not know completely how to resolve the issue or sin, but God does. Our job is simply to take the next step of what he says to do, and his job is to lead us all the way.
We take the next step, and the one after that will appear, but not before the first one. It is like wearing a miner’s hat with a light on it. We look down and only see enough light to take the very next step. God rarely shows us the whole picture at once.
