There's Hope For Today

DAY 20 OF 366

On a cold February morning we started our three-day bicycle tour of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Driving rain, unforgiving head winds, and cold damp mornings added a few challenges along the way. I would gladly take the trek from Kitty Hawk to Beaufort again, but I’ll be better prepared next time.

In short – I’ll buy better gear! I’ll have brand new tires; two flats in two hours got my attention. I’ll buy the best in rain gear; wet and cold translates to grumpy and blistered. I’ll be ready next time for anything short of a blizzard.

When you’re not well equipped, life’s journey always seems longer. We endure what we should have enjoyed; survive when we should have thrived; finish when we should have won. Poor equipping leads to a poor life experience.

The Apostle Paul offers a complete equipment catalog of the highest quality in Ephesians 3:11-20. Get yourself outfitted with this gear and you’ll be ready for battles, rains, winds, drought or flood.
