The World Needs You: Walk In Your Calling

DAY 6 OF 8

Building Into Others

Two passages from Romans today remind me two things: God has created me for His purposes; and He has created YOU for His purposes.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. —Romans 12:3
Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. —Romans 14:4

When we each give of ourselves as members of the body of Christ, each bringing the gift we’ve been given—whether innate ability, trained excellence, spiritual gifting, or unique perspective—we all benefit and grow into what we are to become.

The Swahili greeting, Sawubona, means, “I see you.” Sometimes the best gift we can give others is to let them know we see them, we acknowledge their presence, we celebrate their value, we honor their perspective, opinion, and wisdom.

Because He has dealt

To

EACH

ONE

…a measure of faith.

And brought them into our lives. For our edification.

And us for theirs.

The World Needs You: Walk In Your Calling

There is no insignificant part of the body. Every limb, organ, blood vessel, and cell has its purpose and serves the God who made them. Likewise, everyone created in God's image has a purpose and was created for such a time as this.
