2 Samuel

DAY 32 OF 35

Questions to consider:

1. What does this passage teach you about God?

2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?

3. David took a census of Israel’s army to determine his strength instead of trusting that God would provide for them during battles. How did David respond once he realized that God was angry about what he had done? In verse 11, we see how David was grieved over his sin. Do you ever feel grieved over your sin? Explain.

4. David built an altar for the Lord to remember how the Lord spared Israel from complete destruction. How can you remind yourself who God is and his faithfulness today?

Let’s pray:

God, I know that I often do things that go against you, like David did. Help me to notice my sin, be grieved by it, and be reminded of the grace you have given me through your son, Jesus.
