2 Samuelنموونە
Questions to consider:
1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. When David is sending his army out to battle Absalom’s army, he tells his three leaders to “deal gently with young Absalom.” What does this say about David’s character? When is a time you could have shown grace to someone who hurt you previously? Did you do it?
4. How are the attitudes of Ahimaaz and the man from Ethiopia different from David’s? Do you rejoice or mourn when your enemies are hurt?
Let’s pray:
Father, I pray that I would be compassionate and merciful like David, even toward the people who have hurt me most. Give me a heart after your own heart to see opportunities to be gracious and see how you feel.
