LIVING IN REPENTENCE
Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’ (Ezekiel 33:11)
God's love is not only for the people of Israel in order to make them repent and turn to God. God loves all nations. That is why the Lord also gives warning to the nations living around the people of Israel so that they also repent and believe in the true God and receive the blessing of restoration from God.
Indeed God gives warnings and judgments to the nations, but God also shows His steadfast love so that all nations repent, believe and worship Him. That opportunity is given by God by sending His servants and angels to convey His purpose to all nations.
God loves us the believers. As we repent and believe in Him. The apostle Paul encouraged us to live daily in repentance. The person who is living in repentance will ask the Holy Spirit to observe his heart every day. The Holy Spirit will detect our hearts and if there is sin then the Holy Spirit leads us into repentance.
Do not harden your heart when the Holy Spirit gives warning. Once the people of Israel were rebuked, they hardened their hearts so that they were killed by poisonous snakes. David once fell into sin, but he was willing to repent when he was warned, then he was restored and blessed.
The person who is living in repentance will ask the Holy Spirit to observe his heart every day.
