GOD’S HOLY TEMPLE
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26)
The city of Jerusalem was the city of God. This city was seized by many nations and several times it was destroyed and ravaged. The inhabitants of Jerusalem mourned the city when they had to be banished to a foreign land. Yet God still loved and had plans to restore the city of Jerusalem.
The main thing which had to be done for the restoration of the city of Jerusalem was to build the temple of God. Why? Because the Temple of God was the place of God's presence for the people of Israel. It was there they got the Lord's message from the priest.
Paul reminded us believers that we are the temple of God because the Spirit of God dwells in us. Ezekiel wrote that the Lord streamed like a river to the Lord's Temple, and from the Lord’s Temple the river's water was streamed to others.
So wherever we go, remember that we are the temple of God, and wherever we are, let us be the water channel of life for our surroundings. What is living water? Peace, love, joy, healing and strength.
Many people in the end of the ages live dry, like a desert. Let us become the channel of what we receive from God to others who thirst because the glitter of the world and its treasures cannot satisfy any human heart. Only God is able to satisfy people.
So wherever we go, remember that we are the temple of God.
