Love God Greatly: Empoweredنموونە
Paul and Barnabas were committed to the spread of the gospel. Even after Paul was stoned and assumed dead, he continued to preach the gospel. He even went back to the town where he had been stoned to preach the gospel to those who had not yet heard.
Paul’s courage to preach the gospel in the midst of persecutions showed his incredible faith and his commitment to the spread of the gospel. His boldness strengthened the believers and encouraged them to continue in their work for the gospel as well.
Paul was greatly empowered by the Holy Spirit. There was no way he would have been able to endure the persecutions he did without the Spirit of God living in him and guiding him each day. Even in the midst of the hardship they faced, the early church understood the sacrifices they would need to make for the gospel to continue to spread. They entrusted each other to the Lord, recognizing He alone was their security and protection.
Lord God, I thank You for the example of the early church. I praise You for the way You empowered and protected them and allowed the gospel to spread throughout the world. Help me have the same courage and faith in Your protection as I follow the call You have given me. Amen.

About this Plan
Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
