Love God Greatly: Empowered

DAY 26 OF 40

Paul seems like an incredibly brave and capable person. He continued to preach the gospel in every city he visited, proclaiming Christ despite being stoned and imprisoned. He traveled to far-away cities and challenged all who opposed the gospel. But here, when Paul arrived in Corinth, he seemed to struggle with fear.⁣

God commanded Paul to not be afraid. Paul would only have needed this reminder if he was afraid. God did not scold or shame Paul for his fear. Instead, He offered Paul comfort. There were many believers in Corinth; God provided a network of support and care for Paul. When Paul was afraid and needed help, God met His need. ⁣

No matter the circumstance, God meets our needs. Even when we appear to have everything figured out, God still provides what we need. Paul needed comfort; God provided. No matter our fears, God offers comfort. No matter our need, God will provide. We need to live and walk in faith, but we can be confident His care and kindness and provision for us is unwavering.⁣

Lord God, thank You for your constant provision. Thank You for caring deeply for me. I believe You care for me and are always able and willing to meet my needs. Help me to trust You and trust Your timing. You are faithful. Amen.⁣

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Empowered

Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
