Great Adventurers (Week 1)

DAY 4 OF 7

Day Four - Born For This

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

This week we are going to be looking at Moses' life and how he was Born For This!

READ:

‘The Burning Bush’ in the Beginners Bible - Pages 98-103 or in Exodus 3

Moses grew up in the Palace and lived his life just like a Prince, but Pharaoh was still being mean to the Israelites.

Moses tried to help and protect his people, the Israelites, but Pharaoh tried to kill Moses!

Moses escaped from Egypt and went to live in a place called Midian and became a Shepherd, looking after sheep.

Moses lived a very interesting and adventurous life, born into a family who were slaves in Egypt, grew up in a Palace and then lived a very simple life as a shepherd in the mountains of Midian.

This was always God’s plan, He knew that Moses would learn lots of different things and that these things would help him to grow.  Moses was BORN FOR THIS!

ASK:

Can you think about and draw your life and all the wonderful things that God has given you?   Ask your grown up to help you with this.

Remember God’s plan for you is the best plan and you are BORN FOR THIS!

REMEMBER:

‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19;26)

SAY:

I'm an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong. With the word of the Lord,  I will follow. Wherever you lead, I won't stop, I've been set free! Amen!

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 1)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world that they live in for good. God can take even the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we‘re looking at the story of Moses and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
