Great Adventurers (Week 1)

DAY 1 OF 7

Day One - Born for this

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

This week we are going to be looking at Moses' life and how he was Born For This!

READ:

‘A Baby in a Basket’ in the Beginners Bible - Pages 92-97 or in Exodus 2

Moses was born into an Israelite family whilst they were slaves in Egypt.  The new Pharaoh did not like the Israelites and made them work very very hard.  One day the Pharaoh decided to get rid of all the Israelite Baby Boys!

God knew that Moses would be born at this time and always has a plan, even when things look like they are hopeless, God is always our hope!

Moses was born for this!  God knew that He would help Moses to become the man who would lead His people out of slavery.

You have been born at exactly the time God wanted you to be born! God knows the plans He has for your life, YOU ARE BORN FOR THIS!

ASK:

Can you think of some of the things that you really love to do?

God has made us all different, His plan for you may not look like His plan for your grown ups, for your family, your friends even.

You can be sure that YOU ARE BORN FOR THIS time - have fun, enjoy doing the things you love to do.  If this is not possible at this time, think of another way to have fun and enjoy yourself.

REMEMBER:

‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19;26)

SAY -

I'm an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong, With the word of the Lord, I will follow, Wherever you lead, I won't stop, I've been set free! Amen!

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 1)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world that they live in for good. God can take even the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we‘re looking at the story of Moses and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
