Live A Life Of Worshipنموونە
What Might a Life of Worship Look Like?
A life of worship might look like forgetting what you came for. Sound strange? Watch this video about a woman who came to a well to get water for her family, forgot her water, but left praising God and ready to live her life as worship to Him!
Today’s Bible reading is a bit longer than usual. You’ll get to read the whole story of the Samaritan woman who had a conversation with Jesus that changed her life. In fact, she couldn’t stop herself from telling everyone in her town about it! One good conversation with God can do that to a person!
Notice how Jesus’ disciples were surprised that Jesus was even talking with this woman. It’s because she wasn’t from the “right culture.” Also because women were looked down on as unimportant at that time and place. Have you ever felt unimportant? Or like you’re not good enough compared to others? Jesus doesn’t see you that way! Worship Him for that, just like this woman did at the end of today’s Bible reading.
Ask yourself: If I could have a conversation face to face with Jesus, what would I ask Him? What would I want Him to tell me? What keeps me from talking to Him like that in prayer right now?
Challenge yourself: Sometimes the deepest worship in your mind and heart comes from spending time in God’s presence and thanking Him for the way He reassures, teaches, and even corrects you. Time with Him shows you how much He loves you. Get in a quiet place, and have a real conversation with God. Look back at the “Ask yourself” questions above, and ask God!
Pray: God, thank You for being there for me—always. You know me. You help me. You teach me to worship You in Spirit and in truth. Help me to honestly come before You with my whole heart. Help me to live my whole life that way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
