Buckling The Belt Of Truthنموونە
THEME: Buckle up the belt of truth about RESISTING SATAN.
After reading various books that talked about the things we have read about in Days 1-3, I found myself bothered and worried because I still didn’t seem to experience the level of victory that others talked about. I began to wonder if there was any demonic link that was hindering me. So I asked God to show me if there was such a link. There was! God answered my prayer by revealing that to me. And right away the Lord also graciously sent one of his servants to show me how to resist Satan. I discovered that after I was free from a harassing spirit, the principles that we have read about in Days 1-3 started working!
One problem for me was that I thought Christians should not verbally rebuke the Devil, because the archangel Michael did not do so in the story Jude relates (Jude 1:9). But there are several key ways that idea is wrong.
1) We are commanded at least twice in the New Testament to resist Satan. (1Peter 5:8-9; James 4:7)
2) Resisting and rebuking the Devil is not the same as the prideful ‘insulting’ of spiritual powers that Jude was speaking against.
3) As we have seen in previous readings, we are now adopted as children of God. This means that we have quite a different and better position than angels— even archangels.
4) It is appropriate for us to follow Paul’s example in Acts 16:16-18. And we also have the Lord’s example in Luke 8:29.

Read Ephesians 6:10-18 again asking God for wisdom about which piece of the armor you are weakest in. Consider each piece of the armor as part of your spiritual identity.
Read the other passages asking God for insight as to our victory over Satan and all his forces.
Pray like this: Lord, I ask you to reveal to me any area where Satan’s demons are actively harassing me. I ask you to build me up in the pieces of spiritual armor that relate to my area of weakness. Lord give me the boldness to resist demons and Satan himself— both in my spirit and even verbally.
About this Plan
Belts work a lot better if they are buckled, don’t they! It is similar with the belt of truth. Vaguely believing that the Bible is true means that you at least have the belt of truth in your belt loops. But is it buckled? The theme of this seven-day study is that one buckles the belt of truth by fully believing the amazing things God says about YOU.
