Book of Isaiah

DAY 21 OF 22

HEAD OF FAMILY

When a young adult man decides to get married, certainly he needs to start thinking not only for himself, but he also needs to start considering his spouse when making decisions. When children come into the picture and as the family grows, more attention is required from the man, not only for the spouse, but also for his children. Being the head of the family, the man has the responsibility of providing the needs of the household, not only material things but also attention to the family.

Serving God does not have to be in the church only but wherever we are, and what we do is part of our worship and ministry to God. In the household, the head of the family should set a good example to the members of his family, because the success of a family depends on the attitude of the head of the family.

In addition to having a great responsibility, a head of the family should be a role model for his children and his wife. A father acts as a protector, priest, educator and an example in the family. A father must have a big share in providing religious norms and values in the family.

Family is a precious treasure from God but it takes effort to build it and it requires a good leader. Each member of the family brings the essential love of Christ. Let us become a role model for a family that reflects Christ in our home. Let each family member provide a comfortable, warm roof for each other as a shelter and safe dwelling. Let us love and care for every member of our family, for they are God's precious gift to us.

Being a good priest in the family is a form of our ministry to God.
