Pray For the World: Sub-Saharan Africaنموونە
Chaotic traffic, historic landmarks, high-rise buildings, driven entrepreneurs, bustling economies, dense populations, young innovators, leading exporters—is this Africa? Although these descriptions may seem more fitting for cities like New York, Rio de Janeiro, or Mumbai, this is the new reality for a continent known for elephants, safaris, and tribal living. In fact, the imminent urbanization of Africa is expected to be the fastest in human history. Worldwide, 2.5 billion people are expected to migrate to cities over the next forty years, with ninety percent of that migration in Asia and Africa. Sub-Saharan Africa is already home to two megacities (cities with ten million or more residents) with three more megacities expected to emerge by 2030.
Pray for wisdom and effective strategy to share the gospel in Africa’s urban centers. Pray for this generation of Africa’s church to produce gospel-centered doctors, lawyers, teachers, entrepreneurs, engineers, theologians, and more.

About this Plan
In Sub-Saharan Africa there is a growing Christian population. But in the sprawling cities, barren deserts, rain forests, and tropical islands nearly sixteen thousand people groups live with little access to the gospel. Partner with us to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them. In this reading plan, learn more about the people of Sub-Saharan Africa, who are loved by God, and pray Scripture over them.
