DOER OF THE WORD
We should be truly grateful that lately, our church keeps on reminding us again and again on the reading of God’s word from Bible. As we read the Word of God, the word will stay within our heart and mind, and will be spoken through our mouth so when we face difficulties, we will say the Word.
There is power in our tongue and mouth. The book of Proverbs says that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Often there are times when we face problems and panic attacks and we forget to speak the word of God. And not only do we forget to speak the Word of God but also we comment negatively and pull down our faith with comments such as: my goodness, this time I’m finished, why do you give me such a headache, etc. Humans tends to speak up negative words upon seeing negative things. Therefore, let’s try to control firstly our mind and emotion, then our tongue.
Speak the word of God that we read and hear concerning our problems. Start to move on by faith, trusting God and His Word that the word of God is able to change every situation. Use the word of God to defeat all the fiery arrows from the evil one, and we will surely be saved.
Sometimes we seek for the solution of our problems from man, maybe to the church pastors, sell group leader, friends. They are all good and God can use them to strengthen us with their prayers or advices, but most importantly we need to speak the Word of God. It could be the answer of our prayer and let’s watch the amazing power of the word of God we speak of.
Let us become the doer of God’s word, not only the listener (James. 1: 22).
