GOD IS FIGHTING FOR US
Sun Tzu was a Chinese general, a strategist and a very famous philosopher of ancient China. One of his success secrets is, “If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.” (Sun Tzu, The Art of War). The secret of success is to recognize your weaknesses and your strengths. As children of God, we need to recognize our strength in Jesus—that in our battle of life, God Himself is fighting for us.
Joshua, chapters 11 and 12, describe the fulfillment of God’s promises to Moses, whereas Joshua was able to lead the Israelites and conquer all the land of Canaan. God destroyed the fame and the power of the kings of Canaan with their mighty warriors and soldiers and delivered them into the hand of Israelites, until Joshua took over the whole land (Joshua 11:23).
We also live in battlefield every day. The battles we face may be in our family, our finances, our studies or work, or maybe in sicknesses or other areas of life. Let us remember that when we receive the Lord Jesus as our Savior and God, He is the one who fights for us and will bring us from one victory to another. Are you now fighting against your enemies which are many, as sands on the sea? Let’s remember that The Mighty Commander is fighting for you and me.
If God is for us, who can be against us?
