Like A Flower In The Field By Struik Christian Mediaنموونە
You are beautiful!
After He created you and the rest of His creation, God admired what He had made and said it is good (also translated as beautiful). You are beautiful because you bear the insignia of the Lord. The value of an artwork lies not in the amount of paint the artist used, the frame or the type of canvas. Its value lies in the signature—in other words, who painted it. You are valuable and beautiful because God made you! You are His artwork.
You might not feel accomplished, valuable or beautiful, but you are a child of God and that makes you priceless! Many people, particularly women, are very critical of themselves, seeing only their shortcomings. This leaves many women in a dark place of inferiority. Ask God to help you to accept and love yourself. Remind yourself regularly of the wonderful fact that you are His child.
God breathed life into man, creating an unbreakable bond between God and people: We were created to live a life in communion with Him! Nothing makes us feel safer and more secure than this knowledge. God’s life essence is within you and you have His DNA. We are precious because we have a relationship with Him!
Be still for a few minutes after you’ve read today’s devotion. Take a deep breath and then exhale. Become aware that the very breath of your life comes from God, that He is with you now and that He will provide you with the strength and energy to make the most of today.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that You formed me beautifully and artistically. Thank You that my value does not depend on me, but on how caring and wonderful You are. Amen.
You are God’s handiwork! The Lord delights in you, He rejoices over you—believe it!
