WHY GOD RESPONDS TO FAITH
Rev. John Bisango of Houston, Texas told an incident of when his daughter, Melodye Jan, who was then only 5 years old, came to him and asked for a dollhouse. John nodded, promising to make her a dollhouse, then resumed reading his book. When he looked out the window of his study, he saw that the child's arms were filled with tools, toys, and dolls. His daughter walked in and out of the house carrying the items in her arms until finally, all the items piled up in the yard. He asked his wife what Melodye Jan was doing.
"Oh, you promised to make a dollhouse for her, and she believes in you. She was just getting things ready. "
"You might think I was hit by an atomic bomb at the time," John said later. "I threw down the book I was reading, ran to the yard to get more materials, and immediately built a dollhouse for my daughter. Why did I respond to my daughter's request? Is it because I wanted to do it? No! Is it because my daughter deserves it? Not really. I had promised, and she believed it. When I saw my daughter's faith in me, nothing could prevent me from fulfilling my promise to her.”
Reflection:
A child trusts and does not doubt every promise made by his parents. Do we trust each of God's promises through His word? Let us take more time to ponder His promises and believe they will happen in our lives.
Faith is building on what you know is here, so you can reach what you know is there. (Cullen Hightower)

About this Plan
This devotion teaches how faith works in every believer's life. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11: 1). When we have strong faith, we will experience many miracles in our lives. May this devotion give us strength and build our faith that God will work in us and through us.
