Mary's Treasureنموونە
Recognizing the Father
For Passover festival we would proceed
Jerusalem’s temple our custom to see.
But one year as we were then journeying back
Discovered our twelve-year-old son did we lack.
In fear I snatched up the dropped sash from his robe
“Oh, what if I lose him?” My heart filled with woe.
In haste we returned and did scour the town
Him teaching the rabbis of temple was found.
“My Father’s own house, was it not clear I’d be?”
Words pricked like a thorn, placing distance from me.
A slight disconnection that Joseph saw too
Distinguishing earthly dad from Father true.
About this Plan
In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
