Mary's Treasureنموونە
To God What is God's
His ministry’s growth incurred Pharisees’ wrath
I urged Him stop teaching and choose a new path.
“But who is my mom? My disciples are kin.”
His words sliced right through, like a slap from a friend.
My best laid intentions for safety His own
I witnessed betrayed with our kinship disowned.
I picked up a coin as I wandered away
Its silver gleam speaks of my heart so dismayed.
Again future coins would be cast on the ground
A piercing betrayal that innocence bound.
Transitioning mothering roles was a must.
No longer a child, as my Lord, I chose trust.
About this Plan
In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
