Mary's Treasureنموونە
The Good Shepherd
The shepherds made plans to go shout out the word
In streets of the city until all had heard
The glorious fulfillment of prophesies told
Passed down through the ages of God’s love so bold.
A man pressed a small piece of wood in my hand,
Just part of his shepherd’s crook, splintered and tan.
He asked me to keep it, foretelling my son
Would be the Good Shepherd whose grace overruns.
With scents in the stable of cool earthy loam
No wonder my baby King seemed right at home.
The wood chip points out to this little lost sheep
In peace He provides me green pastures for sleep.
About this Plan
In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
